Thankful Thursday #72
I am so thankful for so many things everyday.
It has been awhile since I posted. Like everyone else, I am grounded and wanted a minute to think and reflect. I love writing these posts because they make me dive into my faith a little more and put things into perspective.
To say it is a crazy, uncertain time right now is a major understatement. I am a homebody and don't leave much, but knowing I can't and that everything is closed has worked on my nerves a little bit. I am a little stubborn that way. Just knowing I can't go anywhere makes me want to.
We have had so much rain in Georgia. I mean ridiculous amounts. It has been so dreary and the lack of sunlight affects everyone.
Today, though, we have had a brighter day and I saw the sun and clouds break open to show blue skies. I think it's perfect timing being the first day of Spring. Flowers and some of my trees are blooming and it seems like the earth is trying to come back to life after the Winter.
With all that is going on in the world and the season of renewal and Easter, I look to this verse:
Isaiah 58:8
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
The season of Easter and God's sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our sins is always a very humbling time. I think we are further humbled by this virus and how it has stopped our lives. This verse is such a great reminder that God has our backs always. We will get through this and He will lead the way.
Today's much needed sunshine around here has made a huge difference in my outlook. It's so important to see the blessings in the most difficult of times. While we pray for our health and the health of others, being at home with life slowed down we have an opportunity to spend more time with family and take advantage of not feeling like you are barely hanging on with the too many things to do in a short day. It's always nice to just have a moment to think.
God will get us through this, He always does. Hopefully, we will arise with a renewed spirit and a closer relationship with God. I will be doing some videos on Instagram and my Facebook pages to share some of my new charms and jewelry. I also want to share some of the messages I have gotten about my charms and what they mean to others. I love creating them, but the responses are absolutely the best part!
I am praying for your and your loved ones. These are definitely strange times, but with God in our heart we will break through the clouds and will have so many opportunities to shine and honor Him.
Happy Spring and God Bless!
~April
